Great local beef house in Olean, NY. The beef was tender and cooked exactly as requested. I paired it with their fresh, tangy horse radish sauce, a perfect bite.
I've been coming here for decades. Never a bad meal. Service is always great. Sometimes a line, sometimes not. Tonight, no line. No wait. Our server Carla was amazing. Timed everything perfect. Food was amazing. I got the ny strip steak. So good. My partner got the BBQ special steak. Also great. Salad looked like a salad not yard clippings. Drinks were crispy not flat like other places. Place was a little dark but still felt like a high class establishment.
Hard to believe that many ratings at such a high %. I would agree. Beef was excellent. The interior build is probably the nicest in town. So if you ever find yourself in Olean NY like me, I would recommend. Obviously their specialty is roast beef, I personally wouldn’t deviate as this seems to be their highlight.
Excellent atmosphere, and even better beef on weck!! Greeted by a friendly hostess when we entered, Carla was a wonderful waitress! And bartender was also excellent! We will definitely be back! No photos because it looks so delicious, we gobbled it up!
The vibe of this bar & restaurant is awesome and huge! The service staff are all friendly to all their customers including non-locals. They offer take out, very quick service. Yet, I came on a Monday late afternoon. Enjoyed sitting at the bar and talking with the staff and locals. Their Beef on Kummelwick with the German potatoe salad was amazing!!! Came with real horseradish and they asked how you like your beef. They carve the beef in the next dining room! I cannot wait to visit here again and bring loved ones. Highly recommend stopping here for the atmosphere and food!!!
10 of 10 will definitely be dining here again. The staff was wonderfully welcoming, and not overbearing at all. The meal was amazing in every detail. The cocktails were crafted with excellence and pride. I have been entranced by the comfortable upscale atmosphere, and charmed by the warm friendly staff. Fran, thank you for your great service.
My wife and I drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to try this place! I had the pretzel burger, it was amazing! My wife had the choice sirloin and it comes with a fried onion petal to cut up with the bites of steak. Also amazing. The French fries are also great with their house gravy!!
